Actvity 1 Soft light vs Hard light

This photo is an example of soft light.The photo is taken outside in the sun , and the sun is considered to be soft light. Soft light refers to light that tends to "wrap" around objects, casting shadows with soft edges. The softness of the light depends mostly on the following two factors:Distance. The closer the light source, the softer .it becomes.Size of light source. The larger the source, the softer it becomes.

 Hard light is like the lighting used in studios.The bottom picture is an example of hard light because the photographer used studio lighting which is bright and gives off a shadow.
The focused light will produce harder-edged shadows.
